I've played it a few times now, so I'm pretty well known among the store employees as 'the guy who comes in and plays the Arkham Asylum demo for a few hours.'
It's popped up in Canada as well as the US, and I play it at FutureShop and Gamestop. It's not yet available for public download, and those employees won't succumb to my bribes and constant haranguing for an extra code or something for my own PS3.
I do hope that it'll be available soon on the PSN because my games appear bland now that I've gotten my hands on Arkham Asylum.
Here's a little review of the demo.
I've only been able to play 2 challenge modes, though there are people around the net saying that there are 2 more which are concentrated on the predator/stealth gameplay style. I've played the outright brawling challenge rooms, called Intensive Care and Intensive Care Extreme,
Intensive Care lasts 4 rounds, and it's pretty easy. You just beat the crap out of Joker's thugs and try to do it in a stylish and devastating fashion. I've just figured out how to use the Freeflow combat system, so I'm gonna be glad to incorporate that next time I go play.
[Freeflow combat is like a combo system. After 3 successful attacks, you go for unlimited combos, but when you get hit or stop whacking, your combo expires.]
Intensive Care [Extreme] is harder. Also 4 rounds, but Mr. Zsasz appears in the last round!
You get bonus points for not getting hit at all (called The Dark Knight Bonus), and lasting all rounds without getting hit (The Perfect Knight Bonus) and for using batarangs (variation bonus).
Controls are pretty simple. Square for attack, Triangle for counter-attack, Circle for stun, and X for running[hold it down] (XX for dodging). Batarang aiming is L1, and R1 fires it. [The batarang is more of a stunning weapon. I threw them at one guy for half an hour and he just fell down and clutched his head each time] L2 activates Detective Mode, which is really cool. It showed me what weapons they were carrying, and the videos online show that Detective Mode can also be used to see their pulse rate, and their condition. Condition meaning whether they're scared or nervous, unconscious or dead...
The combat is fast and fluid, and the minimalist controls ensure that this isn't a total button mashing fest. When each punch connects, it's brutal and reminiscent of Watchmen: The End Is Nigh combat.
You don't appreciate it as much without sound, because you hear an incredibly satisfying thud everytime you connect a punch.
Graphics are beautiful, no lag at all in the demo. Not even when lots of enemies crown the screen and the constant movement of Batman's cape. Which is beautiful in it's own right, by the way. It's like how you would expect a CGI version of Spawn's cape will be like, but a little more toned down cause it's just a normal cape, not a demon cape...
I look forward to playing it again, because it's all I've got since the game has been delayed to late Summer.

Yo Gabba Gabba
Call me immature, go ahead, all the teachers do.
I may be childish, but I know an awesome thing when I see one, wether it be from gore filled video games or Treehouse TV... And my latest obsession is from Treehouse TV or Nick Jr., whatever you prefer.
Yo Gabba Gabba is chock full of indie-ness, from the design all the way up to the music.
And I'm an indie supporter all the way! I love this show, and even though it can be completely stupid at times, I seriously advice to watch it.
If you're depressed, watch it. It'll cheer you up!

Wolverine Tonight
I've read a few reviews, and about 40% say it's great. So I don't know what to expect, so I'll just walk in there and hope to see lots of people get cut up and things blown up...
